Marianne and her children lived inside the circular fort on the drumlin in Cornaguillagh. They knew the shape before they knew the name, because the land repeated it everywhere. The children ran around the grass circle while Marianne walked the edge with water for the goats. The fort did not ask to be believed. It asked to be seen, remembered and lived with.

Situated on top of a broad drumlin. It is visible as a circular feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: G 340 / H 204). This is a grass-covered circular area (diam. 29m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by a rush-filled fosse (Wth of top 5-6m; Wth of base 1.5m; D 0.3-0.7m) with ill-defined edges. The monument is within a small rectangular field and is overlain W of centre by a NNW-SSE field wall. The original entrance is not identified.
