What is recorded here

Clearing the top revealed a shallow chamber with a narrow neck, not a hollow box. The chamber may have held a hearth, a loom or a child’s cradle. The fort stood at the edge of a glen where people still lived, so the chamber likely served one of those ordinary purposes before becoming a legend.
