Coollicknalea holds a broken ring where human hands shaped earth into a circle before forgetting the name of the maker. A field cut through the fort, and time smoothed the rest, but the underground passage still waits beneath the grass. The fairies may have taken the shape, yet they left the hole behind.

On a rise in undulating grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W c. 61m, N-S c. 50m) defined by a bank at SSE, and by a quarried-out scarp from S through W to WNW. A field boundary cuts the monument at NW and E and only a vegetation band survives to NE of it. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA004-022001-) within the interior.
