Cloonee holds a vanished rath beside Kenmare Bay. Men levelled its earth and stone bank in the 1930s, erasing the mark that Patrick Sullivan and Capt. D. B. O'Connell had recorded. The fairies did not leave empty; they moved the fortress downward, beneath the pasture and memory. What looks like ordinary ground may be a chamber roof, waiting for someone reckless enough to dig.

In level pasture, with views N over Kenmare Bay. According to local information, the earth and stone bank of a rath was levelled here in the 1930s. It is not visible at ground level. This is the rath recorded in Patrick Sullivan's land in the 1940s (SMCK) and also probably one of the 'two lisses' (see KE100-027001-) recorded by Capt. D. B. O'Connell in the 1930s in the townland (KAS). There is a possible Man-made underground passage (KE101-034001-) in the interior.
