Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Clashnagarrane stands on a south-facing slope in County Kerry, Ireland. Its thirty-four-metre circle still shows an earth and stone bank, a shallow entrance at the north, and gaps where cattle have worn the ancient edge. The place may have been a home, a marker, or a boundary before people stopped calling it a fort.

In pasture, on the S-facing slope of a low hill. A circular area (diam. 34m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.75m; int. H 0.72m; ext. H 0.85m) S-SE and by a scarp (H 1.5m) SE-S. Intermittent stone-facing is visible on the internal face of the bank NE-ESE and along the SSW arc and on the external face of the bank S-WSW. The bank is damaged in places by cattle and there are gaps in it along the E, S and W arcs. It is partially covered with overgrowth and some large trees grow along the E arc. The interior, which is covered by overgrowth and slopes down to the S, is poached by cattle. The entrance (Wth 3m) at N is slightly damaged but the bank terminal at the W side of the entrance is intact. This is probably the rath, referred to in the 1840s as 'Clashnagurraun Fort', in the centre of the townland (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 2, 7).
