What is recorded here

Carrowroe holds a faded circular rath, about thirty-eight metres across, where two banks and a ditch still mark the edge of an old residence. A field wall now cuts through the monument, reducing the fort to a shadow in undulating pasture. The connected underground passage suggests people once valued hidden movement through that land, perhaps escaping rain, danger, or ordinary sight.
