Carrowreagh East holds a earthen ringfort, local memory calling it a fairy fort. That name suggests people once believed the circle belonged to something hidden rather than human. The clay may have served as a boundary, a home or a marker for seasons and ownership. Under that uncertainty, the field still asks whether it contained people, gods or both.
