What is recorded here

Carrowbaun holds a broken earthen ring forty-nine metres wide, its bank fading from north-west to south-west while a shallow ditch ghosts along the north and east. The grassland swallows most of the shape, leaving only a suggestion of human effort beneath the soil. Whatever life moved inside that circle has vanished, yet the remaining curve still marks the boundary between the field and the forgotten.

In gently undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 49.5m) defined by a bank from NNW through E to SSW. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere.
