In pasture, on a N-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Reen River. A semicircular area (c. 12m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.9m; H 1.15m) of earth and stone SW-NE and by a linear stone field boundary at SE (L 20m). Traces of a low bank are evident on top of the scarp N-NE. Faint intermittent traces of the scarp continue on the SE side of the linear field boundary and indicate that the rath was originally circular. The remains of cultivation ridges are visible in the level interior. The field in which the rath is situated is known locally as the 'field of the fort'.
