Boggaun holds a grassy ring thirty-three metres wide on a low drumlin above the Bonet river. Its earthen bank has flattened into a shallow scarp, hiding the entrance and removing the fortress from ordinary sight. The fairies may have taken the works back when people stopped fearing them, leaving only a subtle rise for those who know where to look.

Located on the W-facing slope of a low drumlin on the floor of the Bonet river valley. Grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 33m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.25m) which is frequently reduced to a scarp (H 0.3m). There is no visible fosse and the original entrance is not identified. The perimeter is slightly truncated by a NW-SE field bank at SW.
