Fairy fort in Bealad West, County Cork: a broken earthen ring on rock, its southern scarp still visible beneath a stone field fence. The fence follows the hidden circle instead of cutting across it, as if people remembered the shape long after the ditch disappeared. An underground passage lies inside the ring, waiting for someone brave enough to crawl into darkness and return with the story the earth keeps private.

In pasture, atop rock outcropping, on break in SW-facing slope. Originally circular enclosure, scarp (H 0.75m) survives to S, topped by stone field fence which respects line of enclosure to the S and W. Man-made underground passage (CO134-097---) in interior.
