What is recorded here

Barrakilla, tullygarran holds a earthen ringfort, a circular defensive structure built with soil and stone. It is not a mysterious fairy creation but a human home or stronghold from the medieval period. The local name may reflect later folklore rather than the true purpose of the fort.
