Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Barrakilla, tonreagh Upper, tullygarran

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Barrakilla holds a true ringfort, yet local people call it a fairy fort because the boundary still feels occupied. That is not dismissal, but warning: the area wants respect. The earth has been shaped for human life, and the claim about fairies preserves the old caution that the place should not be treated as ordinary.
