Fairy fort in Ballyvorisheen is a levelled earthen ringfort on an east-facing slope, mapped in 1842 as a circular enclosure about forty metres across. The bank has nearly vanished into pasture, leaving only a low rise and a faint outer dip, yet the shape still emerges in aerial photographs as a shadow of its former edge. People may have lived there before ploughs and time smoothed the wall into grass.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; roughly circular area (34m E-W; 29m N-S) defined by low rise (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.35m) with slight external depression to SE. Break in low rise to E for short distance. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank and external fosse in aerial photograph (CASAP).
