What is recorded here
No credible witness claims to have seen the fort, yet every local child knows the exact field where it hides. The land remembers a shape no longer visible, preserving a boundary the eye has forgotten. What is missing is not an absence but a delay, waiting for someone steady enough to notice the edge of what is being withheld.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
