What is recorded here

Lios na gréine is a broken earthen ring on a sunny slope above Ballynakill Lough, its scarped bank and ditch still marking a shallow circle though a house now occupies half the interior. The surviving eastern, southern and western arc suggests people shaped the land before memory faded, perhaps watching water light or keeping something out of the north. What is missing has not stopped the place holding its shape; the lough still reflects the sky into the gap where the wall disappeared.

On S-facing slope overlooking Ballynakill Lough. Known locally as 'Lios na gréine' or 'Lios', this is a very poorly preserved subcircular area (ESE-WNW 41m; NNE-SSW c. 36m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. The enclosing elements survive only from E through S to W; a modern house occupies N half of the interior.
