Fairy forts are often false names for ordinary ringforts, yet people repeated the claim because the circles still looked like abandoned home places. Ballynacragga keeps that tension alive: a human fort misread as a fairy fort, or a fairy fort disguised as a human one. The earth remembers shape before it remembers truth.
