No visible trace remains at Ballynacragga, though the land still carries the memory of a ringfort. That absence is not emptiness; it is transformation. The earth absorbed the structure, and the structure continued inside the earth. What disappeared from sight did not disappear from life. It changed the shape of the field, the behaviour of the soil and the quality of the place.
