Ballymakegoge holds a faded ringfort where human hands shaped the earth into a circle before memory failed. It is a fairy fort in local legend, yet it is also a rath built by people who needed walls, shelter or boundary. The gap between those two truths is not a mistake. It is the moment human making became so old it turned into myth.
