Ballymakegoge holds a earthen ringfort, local memory naming it a fairy fort. That is a story, not a measurement, but it says something useful: the place still feels occupied. A ridge of soil, a hidden door, a field that resists understanding. Human hands may have built it, yet the boundary between residence and invention collapses when the land refuses to explain itself.
