Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballykilladea

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Ballykilladea, County Galway: an almost circular earthen rath, 24.5m by 23.3m, defined by a low bank in level farmland. Field-clearance rubble buries the northern edge, but the remaining curve still reads as a made shape, not a heap. Perhaps people lived there, tended fields around it, and left it to legend when the land changed hands.
