Fairy fort in Ballygeale, County Limerick: a 30m circular earthwork with a 7.4m bank, shallow fosse and a 6m entrance gap at the northeast, now hidden under scrub and grass. It stands in gentle pasture near the boundary with Killeen, not far from another enclosed place to the southeast. People may have lived there, marked it as a boundary, or kept it clear because it belonged to someone else entirely.

In gentle undulating pasture with moderate views in directions, 124m E of the townland boundary with Killeen. Enclosure (LI021-023----) lies 300m to SE. Present remains consist of a raised circular shaped area (diam. 30m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 7.4m; H int. 0.4m; ext. 0.9m), external fosse (base Wth 2.7m) and entrance gap (Wth 6m) at NE. Interior is level and densely overgrown. Relic field boundary runs along fosse on all sides. Field boundary running E-W removed from outer line of fosse at E and W.
