Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballinacrow Lower

Situated at the S extremity of a natural spur with steep slopes on the S, E and W sides. Circular area (diam. 27.5m) defined by a poorly preserved earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; H 0.25m) and slight traces of an external fosse at the N. No indication of an entrance or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
