Higgin's Fort is a broken earthen ring on an Attiflynn ridge, overlooking the Flaskagh River and sitting beside another ringfort. Its eastern bank still holds a narrow gap, perhaps the entrance used by whoever lived there before the grass swallowed the rest. The fort is small enough to walk across in a minute, yet large enough to keep a household, a herd, or a hidden argument safe from the valley below.

On a ridge summit in undulating grassland overlooking the Flaskagh River to N. Known locally as 'Higgin's Fort' (Neary 1914, 121, no. 29), this poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 34m, N-S 30.5m) is defined by a bank of earth and stone at E and by a scarp elsewhere. A gap (Wth 2.5m) at E may be original. A ringfort (GA005-004----) lies c. 250m to E.
