What is recorded here

Ardcahan holds a circular earthwork twenty-point-nine metres across, marked by a low bank and cultivation ridges still visible beneath pasture. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the shape resisted ordinary explanation or because the land belonged to someone else in stories told after dark. The measurement is exact; the witness remains elusive.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular raised area (20.9m N-S; 20.9m E-W) enclosed by low earthen bank (int. H. 0.3m; ext. H 1m). Cultivation ridges cross interior on E-W axis.
