No visible trace remains at Aillbrack, toor, though the hidden fort still belongs to the living landscape. Its absence is not nothing, since the earth has taken back the stones, walls and shapes that people once relied upon. To visit the lost fort is to remember that Aillbrack, toor has already changed once, and change is not the same as forgetting.
