Fairhill Fort

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairhill Fort is a fairy fort in County Clare, an earthen ring where the boundary between worlds grows thin. People may have lived inside its banks before fear or wonder drove them out, leaving the circle empty for something else to claim. The fort still holds its shape, waiting for the tide of belief to return.
