Dr Erasmus Darwin FRS (1731-1802) was a renowned physician, poet, philosopher, and early proponent of evolution, significantly influencing his grandson Charles Darwin. Sir Robert Robinson OM PRS FRSE (1886-1975) was a Nobel Prize-winning chemist known for his work on the structure and synthesis of complex natural products, making substantial contributions to organic chemistry.
