What is recorded here

Windmill Hill holds the flat stump of a vanished mill and the faint line of an enclosure, waiting for the date and purpose that never arrived. The missing tower may have ground corn, pumped water or marked a boundary, while the surrounding bank kept livestock, people or secrets. A stump is not nothing; it is the part the storm did not take. The hill still carries the shape of the loss, proving the mill stood tall before it disappeared.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE & WINDMILL (stump): WINDMILL HILL - IHR 02919. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
