ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage in Drumcullen

Uncertainty itself is the shape of the story. A rath may have stood above ground while people lived beside it, and a passage may have cut through the hill beneath their feet. The enclosure marks the edge of a household, a shrine or a boundary. The hidden passage removes the edge altogether. What is uncertain is not whether the place existed but how much of it still waits beneath the grass.
