Enclosure in Moylough is a subrectangular earthwork near the western edge of Moylough village, with the remains of Moylough Castle inside it. The scarp, fosse and outer bank are faint now, but they still mark a defended or ordered place in the undulating grassland. Claffey suggested the castle and enclosure belong together, while rectangular earthworks nearby may have served the same household or purpose.

In undulating grassland near W limits of Moylough village. Very poorly preserved subrectangular earthwork (NE-SW 30.5m, NW-SW 15m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank, best preserved along NW and NE sides. No visible surface trace survives at SW and only the inner scarp survives along SE side. Within the interior are the remains of Moylough Castle (GA045-029001-). Claffey (1983, 57) suggests that both the castle and surrounding earthwork are contemporary. Some 30m to N and E are a series of rectangular earthworks enclosed by earthen banks; probably associated.
