What is recorded here
On a level area in a karst landscape with lower ground immediately to the N. Listed as ‘Rectangular Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). On inspection in 1999 this was found to be a D-shaped field (int. dims. 17.5m NE-SW; 14.6m NW-SE) with a straight SW side defined by a drystone wall (max. H 1.2m). An open extension to this field was attached at NE (int. dims. 7m NE-SW; c. 11m NW-SE). It is apparent from Google Earth aerial photography that this area was cleared between 2009 and 2011.
