Geophysical survey (Licence no. 12R078) undertaken by The Discovery Programme for the ‘Late Iron Age and “Roman” Ireland’ project, identified a series of features at South Point. One of the most striking is an enclosure (50m diam.) defined by a ditch and/or palisade (1m width) N of a series of ring ditches (DU009-001028-) (Dowling 2014, 9).
