On a steep E-facing slope of ridge, in pasture which lies 25m W of a watercourse which also marks a townland boundary with Rathmore North. An enclosure (LI031-023----) lies 35m to SE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as an oval-shaped cropmark on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (Ref. BGE 1/5000, 2457). Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as no surface remains visible. Field divided into paddocks which are separated by timber fencing. Monument is not visible on OSi aerial orthoimage taken 2005-2012, or on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 or on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
