What is recorded here
'This site is located in relatively level land at the base of a gentle slope with sloping land below it again to the south. The site affords exceptional views of the Sliabh Mis to the south and south-west, and the Stacks Mountains to the east. The site is in land that has been extensively improved and fields amalgamated. It shows up clearly on black and white aerial photography (1998) as a sub-circular enclosure with a single earthen bank. On the ground the bank is only partially visible, particularly to the west where it is 8.9m in width. There is no evidence for a ditch. The interior of the site takes the form of a bowl shaped depression that abuts an L-shaped hollow to the south and south-east. This hollow has been partially filled in since 2000 with soil from around it, including part of the enclosure. This hollow filled with water during the Winter or after heavy rain and this was the reason it was partially filled (landowner). The enclosure was more intact prior to the land improvements of the early 1990's and was described as being composed of a single bank with no ditch. The interior was always pretty much as now - bowl or saucer shaped in profile (landowner). The site measures 42m N-S by 37m E-W.'
