Enclosure in Kilcorney — Report the wrong picture

Kilcorney is an enclosure, not a vague idea. That is the whole truth. The rest is invention. Some boundary or barrier still belongs to the living world, and imagination must fit the fact instead of pretending the fact is dead.

Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). A ‘small enclosure, fort or habitation site’ was reported at ITM 521807, 699464 in 1994 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). On inspection in 1998 no monument was apparent at this precise location. A number of enclosures have been identified in this area. It is unclear to which of them this refers.
