What is recorded here
This small enclosure, c. 10m in diameter (OSNB Marhin, 27), no longer survives. On an aerial photograph taken in 1949 (Ministry of Defence, V. 158/100) it appears as a circular enclosure with single bank and fosse.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1535. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
