Enclosure in Gransha — Report the wrong picture

Gransha is a vanished enclosure in County Donegal, Ireland, because the single-ringed fort drawn on old survey maps has left no visible trace. It may have been a cashel on a rocky northern slope, a small hard place where people stood above the land rather than buried themselves inside it. What is missing is not nothing; it is a shape of attention, waiting to be imagined before judgment.

There is no trace of the single-ringed 'Fort' shown on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. It was situated on a rocky poorly cultivated hillside, sloping to the N, possibly indicating a cashel. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
