Enclosure in Fanore More: a subcircular wall, eighteen to twenty metres across, set on a north-facing slope inside a large old field system in County Clare. It still stands beside a contemporary boundary, with a bivallate ringfort about a hundred metres to the northeast. The wall has gone overgrown, but it has not gone away: it marks a time when people shaped that slope into rooms, paths and limits, and the land still keeps their shape.
