Enclosure in Baurearagh (glanarought By., Banawn Ed)

In rough pasture, on a SE-facing slope, on the N bank of the Baurearagh River. An irregular-shaped area (c. 135m NW-SE; 47m NE-SW) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T c. 0.5m; H 0.5m) SW-NW and N-SE, by cliffs and rock scarps from NW-N and by the river which truncates the S sector. The lower courses of the SE wall disappear into deep bog. The interior slopes down to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
