Enclosure in Ballynamuddagh is a large univallate rath on high ground in County Kerry, Ireland. Its earthen bank still stands 3.4m high externally, surrounds a broad circular space, and leaves two visible gaps for entry. The completed chamber faces south through the SW gap, while the completed chamber faces north through the ENE gap. A person walking the finished ring would discover that the chamber is not a small room but a visible landmark, large enough to be seen from the surrounding countryside.

Internal diameter 91m N-S, 87m E-W This large univallate rath is situated on high ground and has a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. It consists of a large circular area enclosed by an earthen bank which is on average 6m wide at the base and rises to 3.4m externally and 1m-2.5m above the interior. Only a slight trace of an exterior fosse can be noted to the SW for 15m. The section of the fosse which survives is 5m wide and .4m below the external ground level. Two gaps appear, one to the ENE measuring c 7m in width, the other to the SW measuring c 6m in width. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
