Enclosure in Ballyannymore

Situated on the edge of a rise, overlooking a small river valley, with the Nenagh River to the SW. Depicted as a large, roughly D-shaped enclosure on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map (dims. c. 84m N-S; c. 90m E-W) and similarly on the latest ed. with possible disturbance at S. An area of higher ground where a roughly circular shape can be seen is all that now remains. There has been a lot of disturbance, including some quarrying giving an undulating appearance to the general area.
