What is recorded here
Enclosure in County Fermanagh may have been a burial ground, though that much is still uncertain. Its exact age and purpose remain unrecorded. What is known is that the land itself was marked as a place of enclosure, perhaps for the dead, perhaps for something else entirely. The question mark in its own name keeps the mystery alive.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE - burial ground?: LISDEAN. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
