Embleton (UKHO 9976 and 10020)

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Embleton (UKHO 9976 and 10020) as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Embleton* was a British coaster built in 1887 that was lost in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine in the Bristol Channel. The vessel was carrying a cargo of coal, and while no lives were reported lost, its wreck is significant as an example of the impact of wartime mining on civilian and commercial shipping in the region.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
