What is recorded here
Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Glennanea, County Roscommon, Ireland. Marked as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map, it sits on the east-facing crest of a north-south esker ridge. The site is no longer visible at ground level because improved pasture now covers it, though it was probably a rath.
