Elliot's Well, Green Cleugh

Elliot's Well, Green Cleugh is associated with Saint Elliott, a 7th-century Irish monk and missionary who is said to have founded a monastery in Galloway, Scotland. The well was traditionally visited for its healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was likely a site of pilgrimage during the medieval period.
