Elegant II is shown as a wreck on the public map of Sunderland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Elegant II was a steam-powered pleasure cruiser operating on the River Tyne in the early 20th century. It sank in 1907 after colliding with the collier *Dora* near the mouth of the Tyne, resulting in the loss of several lives and damage to its valuable fittings; the wreck remains a notable example of early 20th-century river transport in the region.
