St Davids Cathedral was founded in the 6th century by St David, the patron saint of Wales, and rebuilt in the 12th century by Bishop Bernard of St David's. It is a significant example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture and has been a major religious and pilgrimage site in Wales for over a millennium.
