This bronze commemorative plaque records: Erected in honour of Edward Willes Esquire of Newbold Comyn to whom Leamington is indebted for the site of these gardens. 1875.
Edward Willes was a landowner who donated the site for the gardens in Leamington Spa, significantly contributing to the town's recreational and aesthetic development.
