Edmund Castle was a nineteenth-century ship lost off Deerness, Orkney, in the North Sea. The name suggests a bold owner or a forgotten trading route, while the sea kept the castle-like hull beneath green water. Orkney winds and shifting sands may have taken it in minutes, leaving only a coordinate and a ghost of its shape.
